01Stakes

One phished credential against an SMB client can compromise the entire vendor network.

AdVran serves clients whose vendor relationships extend across sensitive supply chains. End-user click-through on a phishing email isn't an HR metric. It is a foothold path. The training has to actually move click-through rates, not just satisfy a compliance checkbox.

02Constraint

1,000 plus users across multiple client orgs, varying baseline awareness, continuous-improvement requirement.

Training had to scale across diverse client orgs with different starting baselines. End users couldn't spend more than minutes per session. The program had to be continuous, not annual. Every cycle informed by phishing-test telemetry. LMS administration had to enforce 100% staff compliance for AdVran itself while supporting per-client tracking.

03Design Move

SAM-model iterative design with simulated phishing as the primary measurement instrument.

Used SAM instead of waterfall ADDIE to ship a first-pass program fast and iterate weekly. Built modules in Adobe Captivate and PowerPoint for delivery. Layered simulated phishing emails as both a behavior measurement and a learning trigger. TalentLMS administered the entire program with per-org and per-user tracking to maintain 100% staff compliance and assign continuous training modules based on individual click-through behavior.

The non-obvious decision was treating each failed phishing test as the curriculum trigger, not the seat-time enrollment. The user who clicks gets immediate micro-learning targeted to that specific lure pattern.
